Description
World's first home cinema projector with 8K/60P and 4K/120P HDMI input. Brilliant picture quality with 8K resolution thanks to 8K e-shiftX function. High-quality 65mm all-glass lens and high light output of 2,500 lumens. BLU-Escent laser diode light unit for a stunning, lifelike home cinema experience. Compatible with the latest HDR10+ content.
BLU-Escent laser diodes with high light output
For the light source, JVC uses the latest BLU-Escent laser technology with blue laser diodes. The BLU-Escent technology has been specially adapted for home cinema projectors and achieves a light output of up to 2500 lumens and a service life of 20,000 operating hours. For example, the enormous light output is used to increase the highlights in HDR projection and, in combination with the dynamic brightness control of the laser diodes, achieves an extremely realistic image representation and fantastic image depth.
Perfect representation of HDR10+ content
When it comes to the extended brightness range and the extensive BT.2020 Colour space and 10-bit gradations of HDR (High Dynamic Range) content, our D-ILA projectors are the first choice. The new models support all HDR formats, including HDR10 from Blu-rays or streaming services, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) from broadcasting and the latest HDR10+ format with dynamic metadata adaptation.
In addition, JVC projectors are compatible with both HDR10+ and Frame Adapt HDR dynamic sound mappings. HDR10+ includes the metadata with the settings for each individual scene, Frame Adapt HDR permanently analyses the maximum brightness in HDR10 content using a JVC proprietary algorithm. This ensures that you can enjoy every single scene of HDR content in optimal picture quality.
High-resolution all-glass lens for precise representation of all image details
The DLA-NZ8 is equipped with an all-glass lens in the aluminium body, consisting of 18 elements in 16 groups. To achieve absolute edge-to-edge, true-to-life projection of high-resolution 8K or 4K images, five ED optical lenses with abnormal dispersion have been combined to optimise the varying refractive index of RGB colours. This avoids possible colour fringing and chromatic aberrations and significantly improves image projection.
High-performance optics and 4K D-ILA chip
The perfect projection of high-resolution images depends crucially on the microchip and optical system used. The enhanced 0.69-inch 4K D-ILA chip has doubled the speed required for image reproduction from 120 Hz to 240 Hz-equivalent. The new high-performance optics of the DLANZ9 and NZ8 help achieve maximum brightness of up to 3,000 lumens and dramatically improve image quality by suppressing reflections.
- 8K/e-shiftX technology with quadruple pixel shift to display 8K image quality
- BLU-Escent laser light unit
- High light output of 2500 lumens for true colour and dynamic images
- Native contrast ratio of 100.000:1 and dynamic contrast of ∞:1 thanks to dynamic light source control
- 2 HDMI inputs (48 Gpbs, HDCP 2.3) for signals up to 8K60P and 4K120P
- Faithful reproduction of HDR10+ content by automatically adapting the picture parameters to the master information contained in the HDR stream
- The Frame Adapt HDR function uses a JVC-developed algorithm to analyse each frame of HDR10 content in real time for its maximum brightness and adjusts the dynamic range for optimal image projection. In addition, Frame Adapt HDR increases the accuracy of gamma processing from 12 to 18 bits to reproduce finer gradations.
- New "Theater Optimizer" function ensures optimal HDR reproduction in "Frame Adapt HDR" mode, taking into account all projection parameters (screen size, gain, etc.).) and automatic adjustment of the colour profile
- "Auto Tone Mapping" function for optimal display of HDR10 content by automatic adjustment
